About us

Baimbridge Antiques is a family owned and operated business, situated in the picturesque regional city of Hamilton. The business is overseen by the family matriarch, Ruth Colliton, whose passion for jewellery has seen Baimbridge Antiques develop from a tiny back shed to an opulent treasure trove in the CBD.

Ruth and her husband, Fenton, have five sons; Rhys operates the picturesque furniture section of Baimbridge Antiques, which is a credit to his discerning eye, attention to detail and excellent knowledge of his subject.

Gareth, an artist residing in Warrnambool, looks after the advertising side of Baimbridge Antiques. Both the Hamilton and Warrnambool Art Galleries have purchased works by Gareth, who specialises in portraits.

Next door to Baimbridge Antiques is The Roxburgh Coffee Bar run by son number four, Bruach, with the help of son number five, Alasdair. The Roxburgh is in a charming double-storey Victorian residence and serves superb coffee, cakes, wood fired pizzas and great wine- and is forever expanding. It’s the place to recharge after a busy morning antiquing.

Finally, Laird is the handyman and a great networker who can always find the right person for any job that needs doing. Laird does not work in the business but he is an ever-present guiding light.

Baimbridge Antiques is an old-fashioned family run country business selling fine antiques and jewellery. Baimbridge Antiques enjoys the privilege of dealing with the delightful people who come through its door, whether to buy, sell or just have a chat.
